O buvo savaitgalis... Pralėkė lyg viena akimirka ir liko ilgam atmintyje ir širdyje. Kalbu apie laukinį renginį, American Spirit 2021, kuris vėluotą savaitgalį praūžė lyg uraganas ir džiugino pajūrio gyventojus ir svečius.
Ne pirmi metai atvykstu į renginį. Praėjusiais metais nuoširdžiai bijojau, kad dalyviai pabijos viruso, o šiemet naujos renginio vietos. Tačiau eilinį kartą įsitikinau, kad svarbiausia yra renginio dvasia. Dvasia, kuri iškart apsigyvename kiekviename iš mūsų nors kartą sudalyvavus šiame renginyje, kuri apjungia visus amerikietiškos technikos mėgėjus ir mylėtojus. Šiais metais renginys vyko Šventosios upės vingyje. Turėjome milžinišką teritoriją, kurioje vietos užteko visiems – dalyvių amerikietiškiems automobiliams, batutams, šokiams, futbolui ir atvykusių žiūrovų automobiliams.
Seniai matyti veidai, seniai girdėtas juokas, žėrinčios dalyvių akys, pamačius vienas kitą, šilti apsikabinimai bei rankų paspaudimai. Prisiminimai apie prabėgusius metus ir nekantrus laukimas naujų įspūdžių ir pramogų. Taip pat labai džiugu, kad šiemet sulaukėm naujų dalyvių, kurie renginyje dalyvavo pirmą kartą, jų būryje buvo suomių, estų ir latvių bei tikrų tikriausias amerikietis atriedėjęs savo Camaro. Šiemet Amerikos ambasados Lietuvoje vardu renginį iškilmingai pradėjo majoras Thomas J. Ray, atstovaujantis Pensilvanijos nacionalinę gvardiją, kuris po iškilmingos kalbos kartu su visa šeima pasivėžino mūsų šeimos mylimu ir puoselėjimu Jeep Willys.
Ar tau kada pašiurpsta oda klausant muzikos? Man kailis nubėga pagaugais išgirdus V8 katilo burbuliavimą. Šiemet akį traukė ryškiaspalviai Mustang, pašėlę Challenger, įspūdingų formų ir iškilimų Buick, nesuvokiamo ilgio Cadillac, pašėlę ir „nusirovę“ Hot Rod ir begalė kitų amerikietiškų grožybių. O ar kada matei Burn Out? Kai mašinos riaumoja apsipylusios dūmais, kai svylančių padangų kvapas ir iki raudonumo įkaitę stabdžių diskai prikausto žvilgsį? Tačiau dūmais pasipylė automobiliai ne tik Burn Out metu, bet ir automobiliai „sudainavę“ paskutinę variklio dainą ir išleidę paskutinį garsą. Ar atspėtumėte per kiek laiko gali „užkalti“ variklis? Varžėsi trys automobiliai iš kurių buvo išleisti visi tepalai ir skysčiai. Automobiliai buvo užvesti ir buvo leista jiems dirbti iki kol varikliai užsikirs.
Dalyviai pasipuošę kaubojiškomis skrybėlėmis trypė su šokių grupės „Kometa“ merginomis, kurios sukosi Country ritmu. Dalyviai spardė kamuolį didžiojo stalo futbolo turnyre. O troškulį malšino “RC kola“ ir „Žalia giria“. Tėveliai ir mažieji dalyvavo stumiamos mašinėlės varžybose. Tradiciškai vyko konkursas „Aš ir mano automobilis“, kur dalyviai pasakojo apie meilę savo automobiliui. Kaip ir kasmet buvo renkami Best of Show geriausieji. Amerikietiškos grožybės riedėjo Šventosios gatvėmis ir džiugino praeivius parodos metu.
Kaip ir kiekvienais metais nė vienas dalyvis nebuvo užmirštas, buvo išdalyta begalė dovanų ir prizų.
Galiu pasakyti, kad šiemet Palangai lieka nubraukti ašarą, kad toks stulbinantis renginys vyko Šventojoje, tačiau dalyviai jos nepamiršo, pavieniai vis užsukdavo nudžiuginti ir Palangos gyventojus ir svečius savo amerikietiškos technikos grožybėmis.
Neliūdėk, jei šiemet nespėjai. Turi metus laiko pasiruošti ir nublizginti savo mažulę. Gali net neabejoti, kad kitais metais varikliai riaumos dar garsiau, o padangos cyps kaip niekad, nes kitąmet jau penkioliktas „American Spirit“ renginys. Tai ką? Ruoškis ir susitinkam kitąmet!

Conditions for the participation in American Spirit 2021
- Cars and motorcycles of traditional American producers are eligible to participate in the event.
- A participant makes a financial contribution to the organisation fund.
- The organisers are entitled to refuse registration without explanations.
- Safety of cars/motorcycles is a responsibility of the participants.
A Candidate is considered to be a true participant OF The AMERICAN SPIRIT if he/she:
- has provided a registration form and 2 pictures of the car/motorcycle in due time
- has made a contribution to the organisational fund in due time
- has been included in the list of participants
ORGANISATIONAL FUND
The American Spirit is non-commercial, non-promotional event. It is a gathering of like-minded peers financed by the funds collected to the organisational fund from the participants.
In 2021 the contribution fee to the organizational fund is:
Registration from 2 until 4 July, 2021 30 EUR per car/motorcycle, driver and 30 EUR per every additional crew member except children up to 12 years of age.
Registration from 5 until 18 July, 2021 40 EUR per car/motorcycle, driver and 40 EUR per every additional crew member except children up to 12 years of age.
First 100 registered crew get a free lottery ticket and us format license plate for the registered car.
Only upon receipt of payment the participant will be included to the event participants list.
The contribution set is a minimum amount, however, you are welcome to support the event by a more significant amount. Your support will add to the variety and quality of the event.
A PARTICIPANT OF THE AMERICAN SPIRIT UNDERTAKES:
- To follow instructions of the organisers.
- to move in the territory of the event and the expo zone only under control of "the traffic control officer“; parking of cars is allowed only in the places specified.
- to adhere to the instructions published in the American Spirit information bulletin. The bulletin is available here www.americanspirit.lt and will also be provided along with the stickers of the event.
- not to burn out during the Grand Parade!
- to adhere to traffic regulations of the Republic of Lithuania.
ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT A MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN SPIRITWILL BE PROVIDED WITH:

UPON POSSIBILITY, A PARTICIPANT OF THE AMERICAN SPIRIT SHOULD:
- decorate the car with flags
- wear American, motor style clothes
PERMITS FOR VEHICLES
Admittance to the territory is provided only having special stickers:
PARTICIPANT’S STICKER – received by all duly registered participants. Two types of stickers are available: numbered and unnumbered.
SUPPORT STICKER – organisers (provided automatically), sales, special transport, transport of participants’ support (please contact by e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.), transport of guests (should be pre-agreed).
ADVERTISING
For using commercial brands on the cars and promotions during the event, a permit of the organisers is required. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to the cars with commercial brands into the territory of the event without a permit.

The place of the event: Šventosios g. 31, Palanga
It is free to enter the territory of the event.
Car parking: There is limited car spaces next to the event area, so it is recommended to leave your car in the city.
Recommended time of visit: July 31th. (Saturday) from 12:00 to 16:00. This time all the participating cars and bikes will be present in the area of the event. There will be elections for best cars and bikes. There will be other interesting programs.

Hotels: We recommend to stay in the hotels near the place of the event Šventoji or Palanga. We remind Šventoji is near Palanga and the place of the event will be easily reachable from any location of your hotel. Booking agencies: Booking.com, PrieJuros.lt.
Tents: The tents may be set up only in the places specified. The territory will not be watched out, and therefore, the participants will have to take care of the safety of their possessions themselves.
The tents may be set up from 29 July 2021 6 p.m. On 1 August 2020, all tents should be dismantled until 2.00 p.m. Places for tents are designated only to registered participants.
