Lovers of American technics will entertain the holidaymakers and residents of Šventoji from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be an exhibition at Jūros Street. Everyone will be greeted by an exclusive exposition of technics: an entertainment for participants and spectators.

Details

Only the participant who is pre-registered and made a financial contribution to the organisational fund may participate in the lottery. Upon registration, making a contribution and arrival, a participant together with the event’s registration documents receives one lottery ticket free of charge. The participant will participate in the big lottery after filling and submitting it to the organisers. Winner will be selected during the evening part of the event on 01 August 2020. 

The main lottery prize is barbecue Komado Bono Media

Another ticket will be selected if there will be no possible to contact the winner.

Last “songs” of engines

Do you know how long takes to “kill” the engine?

This year we are ready to find out it with the participants of American Spirit 2020. We have two cars which oils and fluids will be drained. We will start the cars and let them run until the engines stop. The participants of American Spirit may predict how long and which car engine will last. The most accurate predictor will be awarded.

Last “song” of engine will take part on Friday, 31 July, the first day of American Spirit 2020 at 7:30 p.m.

A car holds a special place in people’s lives – for some of us it is only a means of transportation, while others see it as an integral part of their live, a hobby, means of work, their prized possession or a way to spend free time. In some cases, a car can become a place to live.

We invite you to participate in “Me and My Car” competition and show us the strong bond between you and your car. We will evaluate your creativity, elegance and artistry.

The competition will take place on 1 August 2020 (Saturday) from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Winter Stadium of Palanga City, located at address Vytauto g. 16, Palanga.

When registering at the place of event we request you to inform us that you are planning to participate in “Me and My Car” competition.

The participants of the competition will be invited to present themselves. The jury will evaluate the participants by giving the scores. If more than one participant has the same score, the winner will be selected by the spectators of the competition on a first come, first served basis. The winner will be announced at approximately 7:30 PM (after the Best of Show awards). The winners will receive exceptional prizes!

Evaluation criteria:

The whole look/exceptionality of the car/motorcycle: 1-10 points

The look, clothes of the team: 1-10 points

How the team’s style matches the style of the car: 1-10 points

The team presentation: 1-10 points.

During American Spirit meeting, the best cars/motorcycles will be elected.

 

Judgement order:

- Best of show international committee will judge the registered participants of AMERICAN SPIRITI 2020 with event participant’s number.

BEST OF THE BEST ELECTION:

 

BEST OF THE BEST: a car/motorcycle is elected from the winners of all categories. The election starts after the winners were announced and awarded. The best of the best will be elected by the spectators of the competition on a first come, first served basis.

CARS:

BEST OLDIES – the cars made before 1950.
BEST MUSCLE – 2-door, rear-wheel drive, V8 engoine. For example, GTO, Mustangs, Roadrunners, Chevelles, Camaros, and Firebirds.
BEST VAN – mini, full size van.

BEST TRUCK – SUVs, pickup trucks, heavy-duty vehicles and other off-road cars and the cars designed for work.

BEST CABRIO – car body type with opening or removable roof and rear windshield.

BEST SHOW CAR – special cars, Low rider, Paint or the cars designed specially for performances.

BEST CUSTOM – modifies, redesigned cars.

BEST STOCK – original, factory fitted cars.

BEST HOT ROD – the cars modified for higher speeds, faster acceleration or for sportier look. Street Rod and Rat Rod cars are also included into this category.

Hotels: We recommend to stay in the hotels near the place of the event (Gabija, Pušų paunksnė, Prie Parko, Palangos Vėtra, Vila Ramybė, Arbatos Vila ). We remind you that Palanga is a small town and the place of the event will be easily reachable from any location of your hotel. Booking agencies: Booking.com, PrieJuros.lt.

Tents: The tents may be set up only in the places specified. The territory will not be watched out, and therefore, the participants will have to take care of the safety of their possessions themselves.

The tents may be set up from 31 July 2020 10:00 On 2 august 2020, all tents should be dismantled until 14:00. Places for tents are designated only to registered participants.

Conditions for the participation in American Spirit 2020

- Cars and motorcycles of traditional American producers are eligible to participate in the event.

- A participant makes a financial contribution to the organisation fund.

- The organisers are entitled to refuse registration without explanations.

- Safety of cars/motorcycles is a responsibility of the participants.

A Candidate is considered to be a true participant OF The AMERICAN SPIRIT if he/she:

- has provided a registration form and 2 pictures of the car/motorcycle in due time

- has made a contribution to the organisational fund in due time

- has been included in the list of participants

ORGANISATIONAL FUND

The American Spirit is non-commercial, non-promotional event. It is a gathering of like-minded peers financed by the funds collected to the organisational fund from the participants.

In 2020 the contribution fee to the organizational fund is:

Registration until 10. July, 2020: 30 EUR per car/motorcycle, driver and 30 EUR per every additional crew member except children up to 12 years of age.

Registration after 11. July, 2020: 40 EUR per car/motorcycle, driver and 40 EUR per every additional crew member except children up to 12 years of age.

First 100 registered crew get a free lottery ticket and us format license plate for the registered car.

Only upon receipt of payment the participant will be included to the event participants list.

The contribution set is a minimum amount, however, you are welcome to support the event by a more significant amount. Your support will add to the variety and quality of the event. 

A PARTICIPANT OF THE AMERICAN SPIRIT UNDERTAKES: 

- To follow instructions of the organisers.

- to move in the territory of the event and the expo zone only under control of "the traffic control officer“; parking of cars is allowed only in the places specified.

- to adhere to the instructions published in the American Spirit information bulletin. The bulletin is available here www.americanspirit.lt and will also be provided along with the stickers of the event.

- not to burn out during the Grand Parade!

- to adhere to traffic regulations of the Republic of Lithuania.

PERMITS FOR VEHICLES

Admittance to the territory is provided only having special stickers:

PARTICIPANT’S STICKER – received by all duly registered participants. Two types of stickers are available: numbered and unnumbered.

SUPPORT STICKER – organisers (provided automatically), sales, special transport, transport of participants’ support (please contact by e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.), transport of guests (should be pre-agreed).

ADVERTISING

For using commercial brands on the cars and promotions during the event, a permit of the organisers is required. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to the cars with commercial brands into the territory of the event without a permit.

Information for viewers

The place of the event: Palanga city winter stadium, which is near Botanical Park. Address: Vytauto st. 16. It is easiest to find by moving Vytauto st. from central entrance of Botanical Park (next to hotel ''Gabija'') in direction of Klaipeda. You will enter the stadium from Vytauto st.

It is free to enter the territory of the event.

Car parking: There is limited car spaces next to the event area, so it is recommended to leave your car in the city.

Recommended time of visit: August 1th. (Saturday) from 12:00 to 16:00. This time all the participating cars and bikes will be present in the area of the event. There will be elections for best cars and bikes. There will be other interesting programs.
